Marco is leading in the race for the Florida Senate. The latest Quinnipiac poll released yesterday finds that Marco Rubio has continued to gain ground on Governor Charlie Crist. He has surpassed Crist with 47 – 44 percent, beating him on credibility, values and conservative credentials.
This is a major advance for Marco who was trailing behind well-known Crist 23 – 54 just 7 months ago. This is no surprise to the growing army of Floridians supporting Marco. As the poll shows, Crist’s campaign is missing what matters most to Republican voters – credibility, principles and ideas. The people of Florida will not stand for that. For exactly the opposite reasons, Marco’s campaign continues to gain in momentum. He is the candidate who possesses the principles, ideas, passion and leadership to ensure that America remains an exceptional country. And that’s why he will win in August and November.
The poll also shows that Marco is ahead in the general election matchup between himself and leading Democratic candidate, Florida Congressman Kendrick Meek, 44 – 35.
