Thursday, 1/28/10

CEFALO: “Why do you think you’ve you been painted as a moderate Republican…a John McCain-like Republican as opposed to someone like a Jim DeMint, for example?

CRIST: “I really don’t know, I mean, probably because it’s the political season, and you know, somebody is trying to win a primary, so they try to paint you into a particular picture that doesn’t really meet reality.”

  1. Jeff Willis says:

Charlie Crist is a Republican; in the Dewey-Rockefeller sense of the word. He would be a viable alternative if he were running against Bill Nelson. No matter what the Governor says, he will be remembered as the “centrist who endorced John McCain,” perhaps saving the latters campaign. Rubio is a conservative in the “Ronald Reagan sense of the word.” He has grass roots appeal. He will be supported by the Tea Partiers. He has a record of ideas, tax cutting measures and cost control. He is truly the candiate who can refocus and redefine the Republican party.
